Review: IoT Solutions World Congress

Late May 2024 saw Green Custard participate in the IoT Solution World Congress in Barcelona for the first time. As our first attendance at a show of this size and we leveraged our partner Amazon Web Services presence, by having a booth on their stand.

Our theme for the show was around use of Generative AI alongside IoT to deliver a better customer experience and ROI from digital transformation. We were able to provide customers with 3 live demos, one of which is a bit of fun:

  • Enabling smart building customers to have conversations about building data.
  • Enabling customer or support staff to have conversations combining live IoT data with support manuals and FAQs
  • Our Dungeons and Dragons chat bot

The service and support demo was the winner, with customers seeing the clear potential cost savings of enabling support agents enabled with both static and live data for IoT systems spanning customer support to infield maintenance.

The demos utilised Amazon Bedrock, and the the IoT demos also made use of AWS IoT SiteWise.

During the show I also gave a talk about how we have been working with Britvic for several years helping build all of the software (edge, cloud, and user interface) for their Aqua Libra Flavour taps. The talk highlighted how AWS services and partner solutions can rapidly accelerate customer deliverables, leading to revolutionary products in the market.

The show felt well attended, and the typical contacts we made were at a high level, so it felt well worth attending, and will certainly be considering it for 2025.
